I just to let y'all know that I recently got GREAT service from Desert Dancer Imports. My Mom bought me a pair of their Tribal Flairs for Yule; when I wore them to my class for the first time, the material pulled apart a bit at the bootie seam. I didn't have a receipt or anything, but when I contacted Donna, she immediately asked me to send them back. She advised that she would either repair them or make me a new pair, for free. These days, it is refreshing a wonderful to find someone so willing to go the extra mile to make sure a client is happy.
I really appreciate that, and I can assure you that I will make my appreciation known in future orders. :) I just wanted to pass along a testimonial for you all who might have never shopped with them before.

I have looked at their site and am interested in several things, so when the time comes I won't hesitate.

That expression "hard earned dollars" is really the backbone of my business and how it all started. I know Sharon remembers back in the late 90's there was like FOUR places to get tribal costuming on the web, LOL :). Other than that, you had to go to a Fat Chance seminar. Now our industry has grown so much that there are many choices and lots of information to choose from. Dance costume dollars are difficult to come by and I work hard to make sure everything I do is the way I would want it done if I were the customer. It is such a nice warm fuzzy when that is appreciated. Thank you so much!

I'm working with her right now on some pants, and she's just the best!! I recently ordered my fourth pair of her fantastic flairs and we are hammering out the details of another pair right now. That I have so many of her pants is a big deal because I don't have money to just fritter away, so you can be assured that I'm only a repeat customer if it's worth it! I don't know that I've ever had a business transaction go so smoothly on a product that is so personal.

I also was fortunate enough to pick up a pair of her flare pants- second hand from another dancer and they too, rock.

Mon, January 29, 2007 - 8:13 AMI want to buy the x-back bra base on their website but I am concerned about fit (bras are notoriously hard to fit) and I want to make sure of the return policy just in case. Also the checkout was calculating shipping costs differently than the shipping costs listed on the website. I sent an email to the website but did not get any response.
So my question is, what method are you using to contact Donna? Am I emailing an outdated or incorrect email address? Is there an email address or telephone number that would be better? -

If I have not responded to your email request, I did not receive it (this is kind of a thing with me). My email addresses have been active for over 8 years and I'm pretty proud of that *_*. However, cyberspace sometimes will play tricks on us. I do have my phone number listed on the website, 817-282-9018, and I would love to chat with you about this issue. It can be a bit tricky to get a good fit on a bra. Basically my return policy is to make you happy and is pretty standard in the industry. The biggest problem with a return is if you don't contact the vendor as soon as you realize you have a problem.
As for the shipping costs differences, I also would be glad to hear the specifics on this as I thought they were the same or basically the same (PayPal has it's own features, but I thought I had matched them). You can email at donna@desertdancer.com
