Gals, if you know any interesting music I can use, let me know. I'm looking for something different than the usual typical stuff....I noticed that some countries' folk music works well...

Along the lines of those Corvus Corax germans, Wicked Tinkers (celtic group) do a number called "Bellydance & Bagpipes" that stirs the blood! Several other Wicked Ticker numbers are great drum rhythms perfect for class or performance. I downloaded it free when Amazon had that going...

Have you tried Moon Moth Mixes?

AND All of Ruben von Rompaey's stuff is sooooo good...

The tinkers are always amazing to dance to! WHEEEOOOO!

Love them... and they have such amazing energy live!

Jay Atwood from the Tinkers has his own solo album called Bonfire Dreaming and you can get it and listen to it at www.cdbaby.com

Have you heard of a singer named Azam Ali? She is one half of the group Vas that does traditional Middle Eastern music. She sings in several different languages, and she also has done Medieval music. Her album Portals of Grace is entirely medieval and has some of the prettiest music I've ever heard. She also did a collarboation with a group called Niyaz, and their cd is my favorite music to dance to. Check her out, she has some really good stuff.
