Does anyone happened to know where I can buy something similar to these Turkish vest I'm looking for. So far I haven't found them on my size, so if you happened to have one, or know where I can buy one, please let me know. Here are some samples of what I need:
Preferably sleeveless in red or yellow:

Fri, October 16, 2009 - 6:36 AMJust keep in mind that their custom orders will take WAY longer than they estimate. My "up to 8 weeks" order took 16 weeks to get to me. My troupemates' took 11 weeks. So they're fine, so long as you don't have a deadline... -

Sun, October 18, 2009 - 4:51 PMMy "up to 8 weeks" W3 skirt was over three months. It also wasn't exactly the color I expected. They offered to send me one from a new batch, but I had waited long enough. Fortunately, the color works really well with what I have. I love the skirt, and I got a good deal on it, but I probably won't order again. No matter how much I drool over their stuff, lol.
Those vests are actually pretty easy to make. There are patterns, or you can just work from a vest pattern. (Or make a pattern from an old Tshirt, duct tape and a friend.) I'm not a great seamstress, but the two I made turned out fine. You will need less than a half yard, probably, and if you get a moderately heavy fabric, you won't need to line it. A nice heavy upholstery fabric works well.
