Anyone here tried the Maidenform Breakthrough Backless bra yet? I'm very intrigued- it looks like it could be perfect for wearing with cholis (the straps go over the shoulder and under the armpit, leaving the back completely bare- but it also looks like it could either be super uncomfortable, or one good arm raise and the girls make a run for it.

Thu, May 8, 2008 - 3:04 AMYep, I ordered one and immediately returned it. No good at all. : (
And I had such high hopes!

Thu, May 8, 2008 - 5:27 PMOh, I was following that thread, but not recently enough. That's too bad- I pretty much figured that bra would be worthless on its own, but that the choli straps might hold it down enough. Bummer.

Re: Breakthrough Backless?
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 9:56 PMI know Cacique, available through Lane Bryant, makes a 6-in-1 bra with an interchangeable back band, so it can be clear (like the see-thru bra straps) or a regular bra back. It's also the only strapless and/or halter bra I've ever been able to wear that doesn't make me feel like there are bowling balls strapped around my neck, or that I"m going to spill out the minute I have to bend down and tie my shoe. (For reference, I'm a 38D) It's probably not exactly what you're looking for, but I hope it helps.

Re: Breakthrough Backless?
Sat, May 10, 2008 - 4:07 PMThanks, but I already have a regular convertible bra. The thing that sounded so great about the Breaktrough Backless one was it leaves your back completely bare, no straps across the back at all. Would have been quite revolutionary, if only it worked. I guess I'll have to make the choli bra in the Euphraxia tutorial.

Sun, May 11, 2008 - 7:46 AMI can't see how that would work if you were doing anything other than standing in place. There's just too much arm movement, bending, twisting and spinning that we do for me to believe that it would be at all effective.
