I'm sooooo sick & tired of seeing those stupid ads for ilanio wear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Y'know the ones---they're always on the side of your tribe page, it looks like clothing you would wear to a rave or BurningMan. Either way, the models all look like they just pulled them off the streets or somethin'!!!! ENOUGH ALREADY!!!! o.k. i'm sorry but I had to rant......it's costuming related...right!? carry on..........

Funnily enough, I was quite fond of the Iliano wear ads (and the occasional ad words game) and miss them now I'm ad-free by subscription.

I just overlook them and consider them the same category as scam ads and ads that lead you to lists
of websites with similar keywords. They're just there, like 2nd hand smoke. Can't really make it all go away.
But they're probably there in exchange for helping keep Tribe going right? -

Wed, May 7, 2008 - 10:43 AMOver-exposure to ads creates a sort of invisibility to me. I don't even notice them after a while. But there comes a point when it actually does the opposite of it's intended purpose and makes me actively want to NOT buy from the advertiser.
It would be nice if they could find someone else to splash all over the screen. I can't imagine what people think when they see one of their coworkers on tribe at work and all they see is half naked women on over page. -

You want to have things like Google ads because it makes Google give you more consideration when a person does a search. But then it also puts you out there without much control when they tag you to certain things. And then you have to pay per click and if someone wants to be an assh*le they can just click over and over and use up your daily budget without getting any real customers. Frustrating

I think the adds are colorful and I've been to the website a few times. My huge ass would never fit in those cute little clear plastic shorts though ;) -
